First Quarter 2002 Press Release Robert F. McMurtrie Accutac, Inc. of Kirkland, Washington, USA has announced an important improvement in their system software that will easily accommodate languages other than English for the screens that are used to operate their composite and film adhesive tack test instrument. With the delivery of one of their units to Airbus Deutschland GmbH in Stade, Germany, it was decided by Airbus that German would be required; so the software was modified by Eric Olsen of Antronics Corp. (eric@antronics.com), Accutac's software supplier, to add German. However, it was done in such a way that it will be easy to add additional languages, and have them available as a menu option. Bob McMurtrie, president of Accutac, said that since Boeing and several of their suppliers, and now Airbus have these instruments that provide quantitative tack measurements, they should have multilingual capability. Any present or future Accutac owner can have their software upgraded via e-mail to provide whatever language option they need, at no charge; however, they would have to provide the translation if it is not a language already in their system library, McMurtrie said.
