ANSWERS TO THE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ACCUTAC TACK TESTER

 

  1. What kinds of tack tests can it run?

  2. How easy is it to operate?

    3. Very easy. You are prompted through the entire process with easily read screens.

     

  3. How long does it take to run a test?

    4. Just a few minutes, depending on how long you want the laydown, pickup and

    dwell times to be.

     

  4. What are the operating parameters?

    5. Laydown pressure: 20 psi to 150 psi

    Laydown speed: 1" per minute to 200" per minute

    Dwell time: 0 to several days

    Pickup speed: 1" per day to 150" per minute

     

  5. How accurate is it?

    6. In pounds per inch of width (or metric units), to two decimal places. Standard

    deviation is very low.

     

  6. How is it calibrated?

    7. Using a standard weight and software instructions, both supplied with the unit.

     

  7. What kind of test reports do I get?

    8. A text report providing all of the run parameters, atmospheric conditions and test

    results, as well as a line chart which is self scaling, showing the complete results of

    the test.

     

  8. What safety features does it have?

    9. A clear plastic cover which must be lowered over the components that move, before

    a test can be run. There are also two emergency stop buttons – one on each end of

    the top.

     

  9. Is the unit UL (or equivalent) certified? What about CE for Europe and CSA for Canada?

    10. It is certified for all three.

     

  10. Are the test data correlatible from one unit to another?

    11. Yes. Tests run at Boeing with two units side-by-side, produced the same results.

  11. What operating system does the software run on?

    12. Windows 98, 2000, XP.

     

  12. Does it have a warranty?

    13. Yes. It has a one year limited warranty on material and workmanship.

     

  13. How much does it cost?

  14. What is normal delivery time?

    15. 60 – 90 days ARO.

     

  15. Do you have a training program and, if so, what does it cost?

Yes, we do have a training program that lasts about half a day, and there is no additional charge.
